Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device through your browser when you visit our website. The local storage and session storage of your browser may also be used for similar purposes; in this policy, all of these technologies are referred to simply as "cookies".

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies we use on demircode.com and why, which of them run only with your consent, and how you can change your choices.

2. Cookies We Use

a) Strictly Necessary Cookies (always on)

These cookies are required for our website to work securely and properly; they therefore do not depend on your consent and cannot be switched off. We do not use a cookie for your language: the language you choose is part of the page address (URL).

  • .AspNetCore.Antiforgery.*: Demircode (first party) — Protects forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) — Session
  • dc_consent: Demircode (first party) — Stores your cookie choices (accepted categories, date of your choice and policy version) — 6 months
  • Google reCAPTCHA v3 (e.g. _GRECAPTCHA): Google (third party) — Loaded on pages with forms to protect them against spam and automated (bot) submissions; Google may set its own cookies for this purpose — Duration set by Google

b) Analytics Cookies (only with your consent)

These cookies help us measure how visitors use our website with Google Analytics 4. The data does not include your name or contact details; however, because it is linked to a randomly generated identifier assigned to your browser, it is pseudonymous rather than anonymous. These cookies are set only if you click "Accept" or allow analytics cookies under "Preferences".

  • _ga: Google Analytics — Distinguishes visitors — 400 days
  • _ga_Q24XCWW6E2: Google Analytics — Maintains session state — 400 days

c) Marketing and Advertising Cookies (only with your consent)

These cookies and storage entries allow us to measure the results of our Google Ads campaigns (conversions, e.g. a visitor arriving from an ad and submitting a form) and to attribute visits that come from ads. They are used only if you allow advertising cookies.

  • _gcl_au: Google Ads — Conversion measurement and conversion linker — 90 days
  • _gcl_aw: Google Ads — Stores the ad click ID when you arrive by clicking a Google ad — 90 days
  • _gcl_ls: Google Ads — Entry in the local storage of your browser serving the same purpose — Persistent local storage; removed when you clear your browser data
  • lp_gclid, lp_utm_*: Demircode (first party, session storage) — Keeps the campaign you came from (campaign source and Google click ID) during your visit — Deleted when you close the browser tab
  • dc_gclid: Demircode (first party) — If you came from a Google ad, keeps the ad click ID, its time and the first page you opened, to link a quote request or WhatsApp message you send on a later visit to that ad — 90 days

d) Advertising Source Record (session storage)

When you arrive by clicking a Google ad, the ad click ID (gclid, gbraid or wbraid), the time the click reached our website and the first page opened are kept in the session storage of your browser under the name dc_gclid and are deleted when you close the browser tab. This record is kept by Demircode (first party) and does not depend on your cookie choices. The record itself is not sent to Google: it reaches us with your request when you submit the quote form or click the WhatsApp button, and the click ID it contains is also added to the address of the links to the quote form (for the click ID in link addresses, see section 4). It is used to measure whether our ads lead to real customer requests and is based on our legitimate interest (section 7); see our KVKK Privacy Notice for details.

3. Third-Party Services

Our website uses Google services. Data processed through these services may be transferred to Google servers outside Türkiye. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy and our Personal Data Protection Notice (KVKK).

  • Google Tag Manager: Manages the Google tags on our website and runs analytics and advertising tags according to your cookie choices.
  • Google Analytics 4: Measuring how the website is used — only with your consent.
  • Google Ads: Measuring ad conversions — only with your consent.
  • Google reCAPTCHA v3: Protecting forms against spam and bot submissions — always active on pages with forms. The Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to the use of reCAPTCHA.
  • Google Maps: Displaying a map on our contact page. Google may process your IP address in order to show the map.
  • YouTube: Product videos load only when you click play. They are played via the YouTube privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set cookies before playback. Once a video plays, the privacy and cookie policies of YouTube (Google) apply.

The fonts used on our website are served directly from demircode.com; no request is sent to an external font service such as Google Fonts.

Third-party cookies are subject to the privacy and cookie policies of the respective companies.

4. Google Consent Mode

Our website uses the advanced implementation of Google Consent Mode (v2). This means:

  • Before you give consent, no analytics or advertising cookies are set or read.
  • Even without your consent, Google tags may send cookieless signals (e.g. that a page was viewed or a conversion occurred). As with any internet request, your IP address technically reaches Google servers when these signals are transmitted.
  • If you arrive by clicking a Google ad, these signals also contain the ad click ID (gclid, gbraid or wbraid) from the page address; this ID is carried from page to page by adding it to the address of the links on our website (URL passthrough). This allows Google Ads to match a conversion to the ad click without using cookies.
  • Google uses these signals for aggregated measurement and modelling (e.g. estimated numbers of visits and conversions).
  • Once you give consent, only the cookies of the categories you have allowed are activated.

5. Cookie Consent and Changing Your Choices

On your first visit, a cookie banner is displayed at the bottom of the page. It offers "Accept", "Reject" and "Preferences" with equal prominence; rejecting is as easy as accepting. Under "Preferences" you can allow analytics and advertising cookies separately.

Your choices are stored for 6 months. After that period, or when this policy changes, we will ask for your consent again.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of our website. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of your consent before the withdrawal.

6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, some features such as our forms may not work properly.

To change cookie settings in your browser:

  • Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage cookies
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy → Cookies

7. Legal Basis

Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK No. 6698), strictly necessary cookies are based on our legitimate interest, provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed (Art. 5(2)(f) KVKK: website and form security, spam prevention and recording your choices). Analytics and advertising cookies are used only with your explicit consent (Art. 5(1) KVKK). The advertising source record (section 2, d) and the signals described in section 4 that may contain the ad click ID are based on our legitimate interest in measuring the effectiveness of our advertising spend, provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed (Art. 5(2)(f) KVKK). This policy has been prepared taking into account KVKK, the Electronic Communications Law (No. 5809) and the Cookie Guidelines of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority.

For visitors from the European Union or the European Economic Area, non-essential cookies are based on your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and strictly necessary cookies on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The advertising source record and the signals containing the ad click ID are also based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The storage of and access to information on your device is also subject to the applicable national ePrivacy rules (e.g. Section 25 TDDDG in Germany).

8. Policy Updates

This cookie policy is updated whenever the cookies we use change. Updates are published on this page, and when the policy changes we will ask for your cookie consent again.
